Sell Your Gold, Diamonds & Watches in Palm Desert
Get a free, no-pressure evaluation from a family in the jewelry business since 1975. Walk in any time Mon–Sat 10–5, with no appointment needed, or call or text us first.
Selling jewelry should feel safe, simple, and fair
Maybe you've inherited a jewelry box, have a broken chain in a drawer, or own a watch you no longer wear. Either way, you deserve to deal with someone you can trust. At Ozel Jewelers of Palm Desert you sit down with the family, not a kiosk or a mail-in envelope. We look at your pieces with you, explain what we see, and make you a straightforward offer. Whether you accept is entirely up to you.
How it works: 3 easy steps
-
Walk in, no appointment needed. Stop by any time Monday–Saturday, 10–5. Want a first look? Text photos to (760) 773-5522 or email ozelfinejewelrypd@gmail.com. If you have a large estate or collection, give us a call so we can set time aside for you.
-
Free evaluation, right in front of you. We test and weigh gold, silver and platinum, and examine diamonds, gemstones and coins. We check watches for brand, model, condition and authenticity. We explain everything as we go.
-
Get an honest offer. We walk you through how we arrived at it. The choice is yours, with no pressure and no obligation.
What we buy
-
Gold: 10K, 14K, 18K, 22K and 24K. Chains, rings, bracelets, earrings and charms, including broken, bent or single-earring pieces.
-
Platinum: rings, bands and other platinum jewelry.
-
Silver: sterling jewelry and other sterling silver items.
-
Coins: gold and silver coins.
-
Diamonds: engagement rings, loose diamonds, anniversary bands, tennis bracelets, studs and pendants.
-
Watches: Rolex and other luxury and Swiss watches.
-
Estate and vintage jewelry: signed and designer pieces, antique jewelry, colored gemstones, and whole collections.
Rather trade than sell?
We also take gold and jewelry in trade toward new jewelry, lab-grown diamond pieces, or a custom design. Ask us about it during your evaluation.
Why sell to a 3rd-generation family jeweler?
-
Since 1975. Three generations in the jewelry business. Joe Jaycobson opened our El Paseo store in 1991, and his son James Tekin carries it forward today.
-
Honest and transparent. Our Google reviews come back to the same words again and again: honest, fair, family. We explain how we reach every offer.
-
We know the whole piece. We repair, redesign and make jewelry, so we see the full value of a piece, including craftsmanship, designer signatures and stones, not just its metal weight.
-
Local and established. Find us on El Paseo at The Gardens, not in a temporary hotel-room buying event. Many customers have trusted us for 25 to 35 years.
-
No pressure. Evaluations are free, and you're never obligated to sell.
Appraisals: insurance, estates and attorneys
We prepare written jewelry and watch appraisals for:
-
Insurance: documenting your pieces for coverage.
-
Estates and trusts: helping families and fiduciaries understand what a collection is worth.
-
Attorneys: appraisals for estate and legal matters.
We can review a full collection with you. If the family decides to sell, we can also make an offer on the pieces.
Pricing: pricing depends on the items. Call or stop in for a quote: (760) 773-5522 · ozelfinejewelrypd@gmail.com.

FAQ: selling gold, diamonds and watches
1. Is the evaluation really free?
Yes. Evaluations are always free, and you're never obligated to sell.
2. Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk-ins are welcome Monday–Saturday, 10–5. If you're bringing a large estate or collection, a quick call to (760) 773-5522 helps us set time aside for you.
3. What do you buy?
Gold, platinum, silver, coins, diamonds, watches and estate jewelry, from a single broken chain to a full collection.
4. How do you decide what to offer?
For gold, silver and platinum, we test the purity and weigh the metal against current market prices. For diamonds, we look at cut, color, clarity and carat, plus any grading report. For watches, we consider brand, model, condition, authenticity and current demand. Designer and antique pieces may be worth more than their metal alone, and we'll tell you when that's the case.
5. Do you buy broken or damaged jewelry?
Yes. Broken chains, single earrings and damaged rings still have value in their gold, platinum, silver and stones.
6. Do you do appraisals for insurance, estates or attorneys?
Yes. We prepare written appraisals for insurance, estates and attorneys. Pricing depends on the items. Call or stop in for a quote.
